ActioNet, Inc. announced today its successful qualification to provide Microsoft® SharePoint Deployment Planning Services (SDPS).

ActioNet recognized the value of this program for our clients and easily met the qualifications to participate.  Qualifications include certification of staff with successful completion of the Microsoft 70-630 SharePoint exam and customer references for projects that feature the integration of products, technology, and services to align resources and business activities using Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 or SharePoint Portal Server 2003.

ActioNet will offer these SharePoint consulting services that allow clients to use their Software Assurance Benefits to fund deployment and upgrade services. With SharePoint Deployment Planning Services, customers can leverage best practices and plan an effective deployment of SharePoint Server 2010 (or 2007), plan their upgrade to SharePoint Server 2010 or plan a deployment of SharePoint for Internet Sites.

“The value of this offering to our clients is to educate them on the features of the SharePoint tool and to lay out the road-ahead with practical upgrade and implementation planning.  Our architect level SharePoint experts have the skills and experience needed to make a real difference in project deployment and in risk mitigation,” said ActioNet Director of Enterprise Solutions, Jay Dennis.

About Microsoft® SharePoint Deployment Planning Services (SDPS)

The SDPS program has three offerings:

1. SharePoint Deployment Planning – Develop customized SharePoint 2010 (or SharePoint 2007) deployment plans with the SharePoint deployment planning offer. This flexible offer allows a focus on scenarios that are most relevant to customers based on their unique needs.

2. SharePoint 2010 Upgrade Planning – Designed for customers who have already deployed SharePoint 2007, the 2010 upgrade offer centers around helping customers discover the value of upgrading, and planning their upgrades early by building a customized migration plan.

3. SharePoint for Internet Sites – This offer helps customers plan to use Office SharePoint Server to deliver an end-to-end web platform with web content management, digital asset management, search, and commerce.

These offering engagements can vary in length (1-day, 3-day, 5-day, 10-day and 15-day) depending on the amount of Software Assurance Benefits customers have available.
