Activities of the Office include approving mortgages for FHA participation, and providing them with instructions on how to originate, close, service and foreclose on mortgages, as well as provide loss mitigation assistance to mortgagors. These functions are carried out through a Headquarters Office and four Homeownership Centers, which are located in Atlanta, Denver, Philadelphia, and Santa Ana.
